Philips HZ 5100 Fan
Recently I acquired this lovely looking retro fan, probably dating from the 1960s. To be honest, looking lovely is really all it’s good for. The rubbery blades, though doubtlessly very safe, provide very little airflow. But maybe that’s just because this is an old and tired little fan, longing for death and redemption. It only cost me 1,95 euros to take it out of its confines at the 2Switch thrift shop in Dieren. People don’t seem to value this poor thing’s life much. I’ve already cut off it’s umbilical/power cord, thus ending its life of servitude and freeing it from this earth. Currently it’s in limbo, awaiting deconstruction, after which its electric soul will finally find peace and ascend.
