Quartz 5 Film Camera 
Part II

I’m still chewing away on the Quartz 5 film camera -as the internet meme goes: we will rebuild! There’s only about twenty parts still unaccounted for, as far as figuring out their original position in this ingenious piece of machinery goes. In total, there’s about 340 pieces, and though they don’t make much of a molehill, it’s quite the mountain* in Deconstruction terms. But unlike a regular mountain, climbing this one gets easier the further you get. Once the Lens and Light Meter Assembly was figured out -as featured here- I was almost half way there -this substructure contains 166 of the 340 parts.

So what’s still left to do? Like I said, just twenty or so parts to go. After that, I’ll have to go back to my Studio (the guest room, really) to re-shoot some parts as they had to be rotated in the composition -otherwise their shadows won’t match. Then it’s just a matter of shuffling the various substructures around and sorting the parts for recycling -it’s mostly metal, so that won’t be too hard.
