Hide Your Shavers: 
It’s NoShavember!

No-Shave November -or NoShavember, if you’re in a hurry- is coming up, so I’m desperately trying to deconstruct all my electric shavers, lest I cave in before the month is through. Also, of course, all wax warmers and wet shavers. I’m not sure I’ll make it, but at least I got one done in time.

It’s a Philips –as if there’s any other brand. The aptly named SC 7910 was an exciting deconstruction, even if the electric motor making up the vast majority of its parts seemed somewhat familiar. Which can also be said for the grey-and-white body design (see pictures of similar Philips products below). But this was definitely a very exciting shade of grey. Other reasons to get excited: it’s my largest deconstruction to date, with a staggering 706 Megapixels. Also, it’s the most surprising one ever*, with a Surprise Rate of .84. Only 25 of its 159 parts were visible prior to deconstruction.

For history buffs and buffoons alike: The SC 7910 dates from 1957-1960, according to this Dutch website –which is another arch enemy of mine, as they’re hogging all the good stuff.

* Since I began registering the SR, which is three deconstructions ago. But still.
